Several venues in the Winnsboro's Cultural Arts district have been featured on the front page of the Dallas Morning News due to their uniqueness. Live music is abundant in Winnsboro on the weekends. Four venues have regular shows each month.

Winnsboro, located central in the Art Region of Texas, is one of only seven communities with a state designated Art District. We are the smallest in the state. The community hosts a monthly art festival called 3rd Friday. The event is free to vendors and participants and features a Farmer's Market six months out of the year.

Winnsboro is the ONLY community in Texas with a Main Street, Certified Retirement Community, and Art District designation. We seek to lead the pack in quality of life standards and innovative approaches.

Winnsboro is designated as a State Certified Retirement Community. The Certification indicates that Winnsboro is recognized by the State of Texas as a desirable place for retirees to visit and live.

Since the designation was initiated, the community has experienced an influx in retiree-based businesses. Each business has been successful. Less than two years after opening their doors, the businesses are preparing expansions in order to further serve their customer base.

Winnsboro, Texas was the 5th community in Texas to receive the esteemed designation and is the only Certified Retirement Community in Texas to have been featured in the Associated Press and Wall Street Journal.
