This creativity hub is not only one of the first cities to earn the state “Cultural Arts District” designation, it remains one of the smallest cities in Texas to boast this distinction. The Center for the Arts is a non-profit arts center formed to address the five-county Winnsboro area's need for accessible cultural arts of all forms. The 100% volunteer organization is dedicated to providing affordable programs, classes, and events that cater to a variety of interests for children and adults alike.
The prestigious Bowery Stage for the Arts transforms with each performance. From plays featuring local characters to symphonic harmonies that spill into the downtown streets, the intimate venue's remarkable acoustics make each show a marvelous experience.
A weekly Farmers Market on Market Street is a radiant display of artisanal pieces available in addition to the colorful produce that comes directly from growers and dairies in the area. The culinary arts are featured by farm to table vendors whose creations include a global range of delicacies such as patisserie sweets, Bavarian bratwurst, and much more.
